Well this is the guy who escaped from his cage at the Zoo of Blijdorp, Rotterdam and became world famous for it. I was here in january 2007 and made some pictures of him and other gorilla's present there. Mainly due to poor light conditions (including no flash!), the quality of the pictures was poor. So I didn't place them on Pbase then.
When I was there I already heard some stories about this intellgent creature. Including one that confirmed that a woman often stared into his eyes until he got mad and walked away angry and frustrated. Not a nice story to hear (then and now).
